Germany Job Seeker Visa — how realistic is it to find a job within 6 months?

I have a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing. I'm considering applying for the German Job Seeker Visa (6-month stay to look for work). My German is at B1 level. I've been applying to roles on StepStone and LinkedIn Germany for about 2 months with no callbacks yet — I think my CV format might be the issue. Has anyone successfully found a job during their JSV stay? What sectors are actually hiring? And do companies typically interview remotely before you arrive?
